A fascinating part of the world, just waiting to be discovered

Alghero is also an excellent base from which to explore the beauty of the surrounding area.
Thanks to an agreement we have struck with a local travel agency, we can offer you a rich variety of excursions, with different guided tours available every day.
If you choose to go on the tours, you will be picked up outside the hotel.

We have put together a wide range of proposals for places to visit that are interesting in terms of their history and/or natural history, and all of them can be visited in a single day.

Here are some of the most evocative places we visit:
Bosa (MAGICA Servizi Informatici)
  • Stintino. The breathtaking beauty of the azure sea off the "La Pelosa" beach is complemented
by the charming boats and fishing nets embellishing this quaint fishing village.

  • The Island of Asinara. An untainted natural paradise, with a harsh, wild beauty all of its own.
Site of a National Park since 2002, nature most certainly reigns supreme on the island.

  • Bosa. This peaceful mediaeval town, overlooking the River Temo, is reached along the road that skirts the coast to the south of Alghero. The ancient Malaspina Castle is worth a visit, as are the wineries that produce Malvasia, an exceptional dessert wine.

  • Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast). This tract of coast offers incredible seascapes and landscapes,
as well as delightful beaches where the fragrance of Mediterranean maquis is ubiquitous. Luxury boats, villas and shops are also to be found here in abundance. It is very much the hub of high society during the summer, when it is frequented by celebrities, royals, politicians and high-flying businesspeople.

  • Barbagia - realm of the shepherds. It is worth dedicating a day of your holiday to the natural and archaeological beauties of the Barbagia area, in the heart of Sardinia. Uncontaminated nature, rich in typical fauna and flora, is very much in evidence, as are centuries-old woodlands and ancient nuragic settlements. You will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Sardinian lunch cooked by the shepherds, who jealously guard this area and are experts at preparing simple but delicious repasts.

  • Corsica. A brief ferry crossing (embarking from the port of Santa Teresa) will take you to the French island that lies to the north of Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea. The mountain culture of the Corsicans, their cuisine and traditions are sure to impress you.
